Heveli Enok: Lively Recruiter With a Passion For Travel

Our recruiter Heveli is known in our team as someone who is hardworking and always in a happy mood.

But how did Heveli even become a recruiter and what interests her outside of work? Let’s find out!

Who is Heveli?

Heveli joined TalentHub one and a half years ago. Throughout the time, she has connected our clients with an endless number of quality candidates.

But how would Heveli describe herself?

“First and foremost I’m a daughter to my parents and a sister to my brother and sister. I’m very much a family person and I take care of them a lot.”

“I’m that kind of person who doesn’t like to stay in place. Of course, everyone has days where they just relax at home. Me, on the other hand, I’m very adventurous. Whenever I wake up on a free day, my first question is “what should we do?” or “where are we going?”

“Lately, I’ve also discovered a side of myself that wants to travel. I want to go somewhere abroad and see the world. Not too long ago, I stayed in Malta for 2 months – it was a great experience. I really love my job and I would like to do it whilst staying somewhere else.”

Hobbies?

During my free time I go to art class, as well as boxing. I also like to spend time with my friends and family. When I’m with them, I’m really lively.”

“I’ve also founded my own company – JuustuUnelm. As part of this, I do cheese boards for clients.  When you order a cheese board from me, I will also give you a recyclable board that I will want back after it has been used. This is just a hobby of mine and I don’t spend time on it daily.”

How did you become a recruiter? Was it something that came naturally to you?

I really like communicating with people. I know that’s a very basic answer, but it’s true. During high school and middle school years, I knew I wanted to do something related to business. That is why I studied business management at university. The wish to do HR came when I was in university, during which I took an extra course about human resources. From there, it seemed like something that might suit me. Whilst at university, I also joined a student council. There, my role was to onboard new members. That’s not exactly recruiting, but this kind of communication, helping people and finding solutions was something that I enjoyed.”

“After graduating, I also worked in customer service. To me, it’s a really cool job, especially if you work in a cafe during the summer, although it’s quite physically demanding. At the same time, I still knew that human resources was an interesting subject for me and that I wanted to test myself there. I decided to apply to Swedbank to their human resources department. However, I ended up working there in the private banking sector as a junior specialist. Working in that role, I got much practical experience communicating with clients.”

“I applied to TalentHub when I found out that Reet was looking for a new recruiter to join the team. Although I didn’t have much experience, I decided to apply anyway. I did really well in the interview process and home task and I’ve been here at TalentHub working as a recruiter for one and a half years now. I would say that my recruiting career started off quite painlessly – conducting interviews and communicating with candidates came quite naturally to me.

What do you like the most about being a recruiter?

“I like when candidates are sincerely happy that they have found a role that suits them. Similarly, I’m happy when I manage to find a client a suitable candidate. This kind of positive feedback and the feeling that I have helped someone is a big part of why I’m a recruiter today.

Is there something you don’t like about your job?

“I would say no. If I had to bring up something I would say summarizing interviews. By that I mean, when you have finished a conversation with a candidate, then you have to summarize it in a written format to send to the client. If I could somehow transport my conversation with a candidate to the client, that would be really good.”

What has been your favourite project at TalentHub?

“That’s a good question… I would say I really like Sandman Group AS and Corpowear. In my opinion, they are really awesome. Their environment – from the people to their working ways – is very united and it gives a good impression.”

What do you like the most about working at TalentHub?

“I like that we are like one big family. It’s probably really hard to find a similar team that is so unifying and supporting like ours. Also that we have big goals and everyone wants to give 110% from themselves.”

What is your pet peeve?

“I don’t like when people chew loudly.”

Is there any specific quote or value that you have followed throughout your life?

“I don’t have anything specific, but lately I’ve added a background on my phone that says ‘A fresh start isn’t a place, it’s a mindset.’ A new beginning doesn’t have to be starting from scratch, it can also be a mindset that from today, I will start doing things with a new energy.”
